What are you reading?
(T-shirt from Out of Print. found by Kristen.)
I have a growing stack of half-read books on my nightstand. Can anyone recommend a book I will actually finish? What are y’all reading these days?

These half-read titles include thrift store novels White Noise by Don DeLillo and Contact by Carl Sagan.

Great question. I can hardly see my alarm clock any more, for all those unread books on the nightstand–which must be the reason I slept late this morning, making 10 year old son late to school.
Obscuring the clock now are
“Distracted,” Maggie Jackson
“The Education of Henry Adams,” Henry Adams
“The Naked Public Square,” Richard John Neuhaus
“Author, Author,” David Lodge
That’s just the nightstand, mind you; half-read books lurk in almost every room in the house, beaming guilt in my direction.
